Script - "Lopen Road"

Script

I was assigned the role of producing the script for the trailer of "Lopen Road". I felt that it was important not to include to much speech in the trailer as we want to make the trailer intense as well as informative of what the soap will include.

Our trailer will begin with Ruth Smith a main character, speaking to her son Michael.

Ruth Smith
"Be careful son, I don't want you out late"

Michael Smith
"Yes mum, ok mum, bye mum"

Michael sees a friend walking past, he waves.

Michael (phone rings- Ester calling)

Ester is a home with her friends - Emma and Michelle. Ester is holding her stomach in the frame and a pregnancy test.

Ester Clark
"Ive got something to tell you, can you come mine after?"

Michael Smith
"Yeah babe, I'll see you later"

No dialog is used during this time, as Michael will be walking into the pub. Billy and friends now enter the frame and some conflict arrises as Billy leaves the pub.

Billy Gordon
"Look Where your going"

Michael Smith
"Sorry"

Billy Gordon
"I'm not liking the way your looking at me and say sorry like that"

Michael then begins to run down the road
Billy then grabs a bottle from the floor and begins to stab Michael

Michael Smith
"No, please stop !"

Billy Gordon
"Bruv, I'm going to kill you"

Michael is killed by Billy and friends. A shot of Michaels phone ringing will be shown to end the trailer, Ester will be ringing. After producing the script, It is time to decide the locations that will be filmed, along with the saftey of these shoots. A risk assessment will need to be implemented to ensure that all cast and crew are safe during the filming.
