A group meeting was held to explain what each group member's role was when we begin to film and edit our trailer. It is important that we are all aware of what is expected of all us before we film as this will speed up the process. When producing the opening to our thriller, a mistake we found that was we were unsure of some of our tasks, to improve we all are aware at this early stage of what we must do.
Sinthuja is responsible for Filming and Editing. Sinthuja has previous experience at filming, so we felt it was best that she took the main task of filming this project. Sinthuja also has previous knowledge on editing, we felt this will enable us to gain the best outcome as editing can be tricky. I will also aid her with decisions when the editing process begins.
Tamika is responsible for Filming and Acting. Tamika also has previous experience in filming, so she will aid Sinthuja with this process. As Tamika will also have a role within the trailer, she is unable to film throughout so she will film small pieces. She must also bring the camera equipment to each day of filming. Tamika is also in charge of choosing the appropriate soundtrack for our soap opera trailer. We will listen to the chosen soundtrack before it gets uploaded onto the trailer.
Maria (myself) - Photography, Youtube Annotations and Acting. I have previous experience in all these fields so I felt they were the best roles for me. I will be taking pictures during the production process for example filming and editing, to use as evidence. I must ensure I bring a digital camera to each day of filming and production. Once our trailer is finished I will ensure it is my role to put the trailer onto Youtube and put annotations explaining each scene and what shots and movements were used. As I acted in the opening of my Thriller, I feel it was a good role for myself as I am aware of camera shots and were to place myself within the frame. I must also ensure that I bring the storyboards and scripts to each day of filming.
Finally we discussed the production schedule for our filming. Myself and Sinthuja will be completing the Shooting Schedule for the Home, Lopen Road, Train and Fight scenes. Tamika will be producing the production schedule.We decided that we will carry out our filming in two days and all group members will be allocated their roles.

Group Name-Inspiration

Present- Tamika Smith and Maria Alexiou
Absent- Sinthuja Tacks-Jeyaranjan
It was important for us to discuss how we can improve our group blog and ensure we were all clear on what goals we had to set ourselves to ensure that we receive the best result. Tamika was allocated as director to ensure our soap opera seems realistic. Sinthuja as mentioned before will be using her previous filming skills to capture our soap trailer. I will be acting as I have previous experience.
We also discussed that it is important for us to comment on each others work to ensure that we have included everything possible. We will also need to comment on the script, storyboard and the new treatment, to evaluate if there need to be improvements or even analyse what has been done/created.
We will now record the roles and responsibilities in depth of each group member, for the rest of the planning and production cycle. We must be aware of our roles as it will ensure the process runs smoothly and we get each job done effectively. As a lot of time can be wasted if not each group member sets them selves a task to complete.
